PFF coverage is glowing with this selection giving huge props to Veach saying he's better than anybody drafting DB's. "It's every year with him."

Hicks is ranked #54 overall on PFF's big board and Chiefs got him at #133. Needless to say this will recieve an Elite grade from them. :-)

Jaden Hicks was the No. 1 safety on the @dpbrugler board, and Dane knows his stuff. Never imagined Hicks would be available in the fourth round. Incredible value there.

I just got a text from a friend that coached DB's in college.


Says we stole another one.

NFL.com had a 6.24 grade on him, which translates to someone they expect to become an average starter eventually.

That isn't bad for bottom of the 4th round.

Jaden Hicks was the 71st highest ranked player. Chiefs drafted him at pick 133. That's a massive value pick (late 4 in extra value).

That's why I've never been super impressed by the Ravens 'draft chalk' approach.

Most of the time a guy is 50+ spots off his consensus, there's a reason for it and it's the consensus that got him wrong, not the league.
