Sorry but if you are hoping for some inordinate amount of sacks against this Sunday, you're going to be disappointed. You better hope that your guys can actually cover, which they haven't shown that they can do for the vast majority of the season.
Now he's talking about the effectiveness of New England's offensive line in neutralizing sacks. Not the relative merits of the Patriots' and Chiefs' pass rush.

The goalposts are matriculating down the field, boys.

(Fails to point out that the Patriots lost that game and put up only 10 points on offense.)

This is so ridiculous. The amount of goalpost moving is insane. I'm done wasting my time.

He was talking about season averages (which have little influence on single games), and when shown a flaw in his argument he switches to talking about a single game

LOL. It's all good.

It's funny, I see the debate/arguing and I'm trying to guess who the poster is on patsfans.com.

I also failed to mention that Brady was playing with a sprained MCL and that we had over 100 penalty yards that game, which was an outlier for us, but neither that, nor what you pointed out, has anything to do with the topic at hand. The Steelers didn't win because they recorded only 2 sacks.

I will concede KC in all likelihood -- especially at home -- has the better pass rush but the Patriots pass rush looked pretty darn good last game. How much pressure the Patriots get is in part a coaching decision. I think BB/Flores will go after Mahomes more than some people suspect.

I would not be surprised if KC's sack rate has been helped by their high powered offense. If you get a lead, the other team has to throw more often and you kind of know you can pressure that team.

No you didn't. You've mentioned it a hundred times in this thread. Actually, you said, originally, that he "tore" his MCL. When called out, it changed to a sprain.

Regardless, nobody is saying that sacks are the end-all be-all in defense. You're cherry picking that argument. People are pointing out that pressure % between the two teams is fairly comparable. Combine that with a home game for KC, the increase in actual sacks, and the fact that NE has been below average on the road against far lesser teams...we tend to think that we have an advantage.

Shouldn’t be hard to cover guys 5 yards down field

But how many of those other teams had the #1 offense forcing you throw the ball?

You do realize that KC got Brady twice AT Gillette. What do you think they are going to do at Arrowhead with the help of crowd noise? They got to him 3 times last time Brady played at Arrowhead. KC doesnt have to accumulate an "inordinate" amount of sacks to affect the outcome of the game. They get to him at least 3 times and that should be enough. 2 should force a punt, and since Ford and Houston force a turnover about every other sack, the third will be a turnover.

Apparently it is for the Chiefs, who get killed on shallow crossing routes and by RBs in the passing game.

It's by design that they give up those short plays man, not to mention we have been out a key offensive lineman

Are you going to even note the fact the chiefs are without CJ Spiller?

My mistake. Brady was sacked only once in the PIT game and 0 times in the MIN game. These teams had 52 and 50 sacks, respectively. 1 sack total allowed vs them.

Brady threw the ball 36 times on vs PIT. Will probably be around the same on Sunday, since we will look to control the clock and run the ball a lot against a non-existent run defense.

Our OL has played well all season but is playing at an even higher level now. I don't think you get more than a sack on him Sunday, and you won't get many total pressures either.

Tom Brady has no experience playing under a wolf moon eclipse at Arrowhead, I like our chances when you look at the reality of the situation
