As reported by @MattVerderame, Kyle Long has been activated to the 53-man roster. Two corresponding moves have been made, Jerick McKinnon and Khalen Saunders have been placed on IR; per source. They will each miss at least 3 weeks.#Chiefs | #ChiefsKingdom

For those calling Niang soft, I'm guessing you never had a serious rib injury. Been there, done that, don't want to do it again. I've had fingers, thumbs, nose, leg, and ankle fractures and the ribs were the worst.
My guess is he's the 6th man, since he can play both guard and tackle. He won't be starting at RT, especially not right away. [Reply]

He played in 7 games this season, and to my eye was making plays that don't always show up in the box score... he was solid depth, its never good to lose guys like that [Reply]

If he's healthy, that would be ideal. A healthy Long is vastly superior super sub to Remmers. I wouldn't want to have to count on him as a starter for any length of time though, due to his extensive injury history. [Reply]

When did I say that? I don't think I've ever made a lost about McKinnon. [Reply]

Bill Belechick has done it for years. In case someone gets hurt he's available for the Playoffs. Gore essentially took his spot with Clyde back in the mix. [Reply]
Veach after last year said, never again! Not only did he replace every starter on the line with very high quality Lineman but he also has quality back ups like Bythe at center and a monster like Long for Guard or Tackle.
Long is healthy AND fresh for the stretch. This is awesome!
