Games like this are what's wrong with college football and I'm not sure how an expanded playoff changes that. If anything we probably sew more games like this [Reply]

TBH, the NCAA Championship has had many exciting and crazy games over the last 20 years. More fun than just about any Super Bowl.
This year just wasn't it. That's what happens when a Big 12 minnow advances that pulled a rabbit out of its ass most games this season.
This game is an indictment on Jim Harbaugh's negligence last week. [Reply]

With the NIL and transfer portal, college football has actually become more about the regular season. See if your team can win 8-10 games and the Chumps R Us bowl or something. There are only a handful of teams that can win a title. The days of the BYU's of the world (1984 for those that don't know) winning the National Championship are long gone, I mean they were anyway but they are dead and gone for good now. [Reply]

It's a problem with expanding the playoffs in any sport but CFB is the worst. A lot of years there might not even be 4 teams good enough to win it all. [Reply]

Honestly, I think the Texans also win in this scenario (or I guess the Bears, since they are the worst NFL team currently) but probably closer to 44-38 or so. [Reply]
