Nzoner's Game Room>Frank Clark no longer fucking sucks
TwistedChief 09:30 PM 07-30-2022
Ok, guys. Frank has stopped drinking and is serious about this season. I can’t stop drinking for more than 8hrs at a time so Clark’s abstinence is notable and impressive. He and Andy had a heart to heart, shared some cheeseburgers (Frank is probably now also vegan and went Impossible Burger), chugged some Mr. Pibb, and came to an understanding.

Watch his presser from today. It’s probably one of the most real and honest things I’ve seen from a player. If you’re rooting against Frank Clark after that you’re probably either repressing some demons in your life or are related to Red Dawg.

This is a safe space to celebrate Frank Clark this season. 8 sack minimum. Let’s build this guy up rather than choosing to spend the season breaking him down.

Join me on the Shark bandwagon. There’s blood in the water.

And the obligatory: keep doubting Frank fucking Clark.

I will 100% make a monetary bet with you in regards to his production. What will we bet on? # of sacks? # of pressures?

Get back with me!

dude looks like he has cancer, man...he's going to need to rotate in as a pass rusher or teams are just going to flatten him in the running game

How much do you guys think Frank weighs these days??? pic.twitter.com/VEkBZHhXbi

Kelce looks bigger, and healthier.

I really don't see it. He doesn't look noticably smaller than he ever had here. He always had sleeves and big arm braces on so he definitely looks thinner in the arms but I think it's more the lifestyle change that apparently gave him quite a bit more burst.

Yeah, I can see it now. Damn, wonder where he's at. Lower than 240?

Maybe you should just let Rick Burkholder and the coaches do their damn jobs, Clay.

Dontari Poe played at 340-350 for much of his NFL career, but a person might look at him and go, "wait, he's our NT? He doesn't have as much mass on him as other NTs I've seen! He's probably going to get pushed around pretty badly!"

I think the team has been monitoring Frank Clark's strength/conditioning and weight throughout the offseason.

my guess is the plan is to rotate him in as a pass rush specialist - he's injury prone already and being tiny won't help

IIRC, that pic was at 265 and allegedly 245 is his proper playing weight.

/shrug idk.

So that's not really 'tiny' if he's 6'3 and in the 240-250 range.

My only concern is whether or not he lost functional strength, and whether that will show up in run support or the ability to put the QB on the ground and finish the sack.

He did seem to lose a chunk of his lower body mass.

This copies Nate Taylor's The Athletic article, but in it there's an instagram video of Clark working out. Decide for yourself:

Keep it simple. Sacks is fine. I'll take the over at 7.5. Tell me how much.

That’s hard to gauge because of not having Brown or at least Niang out there for him to compete against, but he was very physical today and forced a couple runs back inside during team work. He also batted a pass his lazy ass wouldn’t have the last 2 years, for sure. Very athletic. He also had a sack of it were live, maybe 2. At least a sack and a hurry to go along with the batted pass. And being very impressive on matchup work.

It’s impossible not to see Clark as having a “humbling moment” by Andy and being embarrased enough to force his complete 180.

I’m not exaggerating when I say Clark looks like a guy poised to get 13 sacks this year. Barring injury, the guy that was out there today has a 9-10 sack floor.
