Price handling the puck slows down the forchek/helps breakout Montreal doing a good job slowing them down neutral zone forcing the dump in makes it hard for forwards to get a rhythm/flow, slows the game down, Lehner plays the puck less than fleury which has help mtl get some zone time, allows d to Pinch and vgk forwards can’t blow the zone for those stretch passes.

Doesn't help that VGK's forwards are regularly mishandling passes, even when they aren't being pressured. And misaiming just about every other pass. Didn't keep track, but I wouldn't be surprised if VGK turned the puck over more than 20 times in that first period.

MTL deserves to win this one; they're playing their game, working hard, while VGK plays like they've never played together before, turning the puck over like a hot potato in every zone, standing around (but not in front of Price for some reason), passing instead of shooting/shooting when they should pass . . . basically just sloppy, ugly hockey from Vegas.
