Nobody is taking about it but the dollar is shitting the bed. Not sure the correlation between its drop and the market but that’s a fairly substantial move. Typically in crises there is flight to quality which is typically the US dollar but that’s not what’s happening now.

Also troublesome for my ass is typically cheap dollar means higher commodity prices (better export competitiveness). But that shit isn’t happening either. And you’d hope the lower dollar would boost oil prices which would spur ethanol demand. NOPE. Fuck you Buehler. That’s what you get.

Only if what you're in doesn't at least meet the rates of return you could get going long an S&P 500 index fund or ETF.

Only if you’re buying individual stocks of shit companies, trying to find the needle in the haystack.

Mentioned this before, but I always go back to what Warren Buffett says.

This country has been through several presidents of both parties, multiple big recessions, several wars, and impeachment, 9/11 and several health scares. Despite that the market has done nothing but go up ever since the 1940’s.

Buy more with extra cash if you’ve got it. Great time to buy in.

Great time to buy if you have stable employment and cash on hand, as I mention I just did earlier in the thread.

But some folks also might want a rainy day fund in case the economy tips into recession.
