I'm not a big adult cartoon guy, besides like comedy, but holy shit. The first was by far the best animated movie I've ever seen. Such an incredible movie. [Reply]

They missed out that in the room where Gwen Stacy is there is a flag that says “Protect Trans Kids”. [Reply]

I know some in Hollywood would find this shocking, but the overwhelming majority of people don't care about that kind of shit if you actually make a good movie/show.
It's just a matter of it being organic versus forced. When the goal is to make something good, that kind of stuff tends to happen organically. When the goal is to put out "the message", the results are usually shit.
Take the "Protect Trans Kids" poster in the trailer, I'm sure many like myself were aware, and I definitely rolled my eyes when it was pointed out, but nothing from the trailer makes me think that is a message of the movie or that it will be part of the plot.
It also helps that the first movie was so fucking good. Even if it were something a little more in your face, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.

I don't throw a 10/10 often, but it was definitely a 10. [Reply]
Not quite the 10/10 masterpiece that the first one way, but still a great movie. Also, the way this one sets up part 3 makes me think it could be the best of the trilogy. [Reply]
Also disagreeing. I thought the first Spiderman (ITSV) was terrific. Felt like a "Toy Story" moment in animation and story-telling. The 2nd was still really good, though I'd tab it more of a 8.5/10 rather than a 10/10. [Reply]
