Free-agent WR Sammy Watkins is scheduled to visit the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday after Tuesday’s trip to Baltimore with the Ravens, per sources. Watkins also has drawn some interest from the Titans and Texans.
Melvin Ingram's visit was pushed back tomorrow due to problems with travel logistics, according to Jeremy Fowler on Twitter.
Hopefully that's truly the case, but I can understand fans feeling skeptical and that he'll all of a sudden end up signing elsewhere before he even visits here. It's been that kind of offseason. [Reply]

Chiefs Twitter is filled with morons right now. [Reply]

Lol people are fucking ridiculous. We’ve become a very entitled fan base. It’s like spoiled kids who didn’t get everything they wanted on Christmas. [Reply]

You mean there’s a chance that we don’t win every Super Bowl for the next 20 years? Veach needs to be fired! [Reply]

That's true, I think it's just the nature of Twitter and fans in general. I'm sure there are plenty of fans calling for Bill Self's head after last night's KU game, for example. [Reply]
When you build a top heavy roster you’re not going to fill every spot with a perfect answer on paper and that’s fine. Somebody needs to explain this the #Chiefs Twitter though

Yes it has. You’re not going to get every single FA just because you have Mahomes, but it definitely helps. Thuney had several suitors and he and his agent elected to pursue negotiations with the Chiefs because of the setup there. Williams was damn close but he loves Shanahan and they ultimately offered more money anyhow.
Money is still the top thing, but Mahomes and Reid are a huge difference maker. Kyle Long wouldn’t have left Vegas and signed here if not for them.
The main difference, as Veach has previously mentioned, comes with player retention. It’s the guys who have been there and experienced the culture who are going to be much easier to keep around, perhaps for less money at times. [Reply]
