The Denver Broncos have been discussing this trade for Zach Wilson for weeks. After exploring the veteran free agent quarterback market, there is belief in the Denver building Zach Wilson still has tons on talent and potential.

Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson! How exciting, what an incredible battle this will be for the starting job! Two alphas with strong NFL resumes duking it out to see who comes out on top! Riveting!!

I don't think anybody believes the acquisition cost was high. What you now have to worry about is Sean Payton thinking he can "fix" the former #2 overall pick. [Reply]

If you're trading for Zach Wilson and taking on a chunk of his contract for nothing more than depth, it's a shitty move. He's not the guy you want to pull off the bench when your starter is struggling or gets injured.
Now, if Broncos are trading for him because he has some talent (he was the #2 pick for a reason) and Payton thinks he can mine that out of him, well that make sense.
But THAT very much means Payton is putting his QB legacy on the line here, since people still question whether he was really responsible for HOFer Brees. [Reply]
