It would be like Greinke to come back after 5 scoreless on a Wednesday start and be like “welp, I’m retired.”

Not saying that happened. But I could see it someday.

Greinke started and earned the win while throwing 44 pitches tonight. Only twice since pitch counts became a thing in 1988 has a starter been a winner with ≤ 44 pitches. G Maddux in 2003 and Sid Fernandez in 1993. @baseball_ref

It's ok. Once the Royals move downtown, the Chiefs will build plenty around there and collect all the revenue in the process.
