The issue w/ McKinnon has always been injuries and durability. Welp - the post-season is here and he's on a 1-year deal. Empty the tank.
I'd start him. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt. But he's a veteran RB w/ some juice in his legs who knows how to block and can catch out of the backfield. He's demonstrated vision and versatility. There's no reason why he can't get a significant snap share going forward.

But weirdly, the only guy I think I'd give 70% percent of the reps to is Jerrick McKinnon.
Good lookin' out, Andy.
McKinnon is your hot hand - ride him through the post-season. He's the best combination of traits we have on this roster to run the offense that Reid and crew want to run.
If they'd commit more heavily to an inside zone system, I'd say give CEH and Gore more run - but they clearly don't want to do that. So if they're going to continue w/ the outside zone plays and frequent screens, your guy is McKinnon. [Reply]

And then go find a young guy in the draft with the same abilities and plug him in next season. [Reply]

I think Jerome Ford is probably the guy there. Seems like he may be there for us at the back of the 3rd.
But man I'd still like to see more youth/speed added to the defense and that might also be a nice spot for a safety or rotational edge rusher. Even a solid run-stuffing DT (though you can often find that kind of player in the 4th). [Reply]

Let's get some of those minority hire picks and we can do both.
You aren't worried about Ford's pass blocking? I know you brought it up in the draft thread when I first asked about him. [Reply]
