But it's plainly obvious that homosexuals and heterosexuals have 'equal rights' under the definition of traditional marriage. The problem arises that traditional marriage is not appealing to homosexuals, but they want something analogous to recognize and celebrate their own romantic unions. So they assert the existence of a 'right' to have the state recognize and reward expanded definitions of romantic unions.
