For all things Royals in 2022. #3 minor league system according to Baseball America. The Bobby Witt era should begin this year. Will Salvy still be the homerun king? How does the glut of infield players work out? Will the young pitchers take the next step?

I think he's my favorite Royal already. I love smooth fielding middle infielders.
It's crazy that we have the best QB in the NFL and pretty soon the best SS in MLB.

Payamps:

1. Just coming off the DL and throwing 2 innings? Check.

2. Understandable considering he has *checks notes* exactly zero career saves.

Mike Matheny and Cal Eldred ladies and gentlemen.

Wake up Sherman!

Massey hits first inning grand slam to propel Omaha over St. Paul

St. Paul, Minn. – The Omaha Storm Chasers (37-38) started hot and held on to beat the St. Paul Saints (37-39) 6-4. Omaha now leads the series 3-2 and the season series 8-4.

Center fielder Roman Quinn hit a bunt single to start the game, the fourth time through the first five games of the series that Omaha put the game’s first batter on base. First baseman Nick Pratto drew a walk to put a pair of runners on with nobody out before right fielder Nate Eaton juiced the bases with a single into left field.

Second baseman Michael Massey hit Omaha’s fourth grand slam of the season to give Omaha an early 4-0 lead with nobody out. Massey is now the first Storm Chaser to reach base in 15 consecutive games, also riding a team-high 13-game hit streak.

Omaha started the second with a pair of singles, this time off the bats of third baseman Angelo Castellano and shortstop Iván Castillo. Quinn kept the rally moving with his second infield hit in as many at bats to load the bases. Massey would draw an RBI walk for his fifth RBI, the sixth time a Storm Chaser has recorded five RBIs in a game this season.

Left fielder Clay Dungan launched his seventh homer of the season to push Omaha’s lead to six through three innings.

Right-hander Carlos Hernández allowed three walks in the bottom of the fourth, but stranded the bases loaded to get out of the jam and leave the score at 6-0.

The Saints put up a two-run homer in the fifth to put their first runs on the board. St. Paul put up another pair of runs in the seventh to cut Omaha’s lead to 6-4.

St. Paul kept Omaha off the scoreboard from the fourth inning on, but Omaha took game five 6-4.

Right-hander Brad Peacock came in to pitch the ninth and record his fourth save of the season.

The Storm Chasers conclude their series with the Saints on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 6:07 p.m. Coverage will start at 5:45 on the Sarpy County Tourism Pregame Show on 1180 The Zone. Tomorrow’s probable starter for the Storm Chasers is left-hander Drew Parrish (1-1, 5.95) while the Saints send right-hander Aaron Sanchez to the mound.

You can watch today's game on Peacock and it has no announcers, just stadium sounds only.

kinda weird. I've been doing honey do's with the game streaming on the PC. Have only sat down seen 3 AB's this game. HR by Oliveras, HR by Rivera, and the double just now by Beninentendndnidiedi.

Someone ping me next time we have men on base.
