#Bengals WR Tee Higgins has, in fact, requested a trade, as @AdamSchefter said. The franchise tag is meant to keep long-term talks going, but Higgins' camp had no such talks before the tag was administered. Now, a trade request.

The #Colts and Michael Pittman were close on a deal by the franchise tag deadline and the team used it as it should be used -- as a placeholder. The deal should be done today. https://t.co/9zViqAiWcF
The more I watch Chase Claypool's tape. The more he looks like an obviously MVS replacement who has better hands tbh. In his first season he got 900 yards and 13 total touchdowns. In his second season he got 860 yards. Both of those years were with Big Ben. Then he had to play with Rudolph, a rookie Fields and Trevor Simien before going to Miami for a few games last season.
So did he really fall off or did he suffer at the hands of bad QB's? He's just 25 years old, 6'4, ran a 4.42 and has got 800 plus yards the two years he had a decent qb. Saw a clip of him go one on one with Sauce Gardner and beat him down the field with ho problems.
These are the undervalued talents Veach loves to scoop up. We'll see if my intuition comes true. [Reply]

In fairness though, what's the risk? I'm assuming he'd be really cheap. And let's not pretend the bar for the Chiefs is all that high. Claypool has put up 800+ yards twice. Mecole Hardman has never come close to that. Neither has MVS. [Reply]
