Nzoner's Game Room>Celebrating my 50th year as a Chiefs fan.
Rain Man 02:59 PM 08-18-2019
To the best of my memory, I started watching in the 1970 season. I'm hopeful that the Chiefs will wear a patch on their jerseys this season for me during this golden season.

If I had to note my 50 most memorable moments of Chiefs fandom, they would be ... (in spoiler). I'm sure I'm missing some important and obvious events, but this is my initial thinking.

Spoiler!

It's been a good ride for 49 years. I'm kind of hopeful that Year 50 is going to put a few new highlights onto the list.

I think you hit most of the game moments I would say if I had been a fan for 50 years.

One that sticks in my mind is the 2011 Chargers game when the Chargers had the game all wrapped up until Philip Rivers fumbled the kneel down snap and the Chiefs won in OT

Oh, that was a good one. And the Alex Smith comeback against the Chargers might make my list, too.

Congratulations, Mr. Rain Man.

To think that you stuck with this team during all the ... {ahem} ... years ... is both commendable and a little frightening.

No one suffers like a Chiefs fan, IMO. You have pretty much seen it all and the fact that you are not a raging alcoholic and serial wife-beater speaks to your self-control and maturity.

FAX THE IMPRESSED

You and I have the exact same time frame .In 1970 I was 7 years old and thats about when I became a fan because my father was friends with Jerrel Wilson the Chiefs punter.

And whats so exciting is we have most of our golden years to enjoy the Best QB in football as a Chief.

You're thinking maybe a jersey patch featuring a hog and an ermine? I could live with that.

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times...

And in the end that’s just life. Congrats on the journey, friend.

Great list. Number 49 reminds me of how I felt after Alex Gordon’s ball got under that outfielder in game 7. For a minute, it appeared to be destiny that the Royals were going to win the WS. Well, we saw what the Royals did for an encore. You’re up, Chiefs!

Noob....I went to the very first home game at Municipal Stadium in 1963...my uncle was a Car Salesman at a car dealership and won 2 tickets for being the leading salesman the month before.

When we got to the game I figured out why they were free..we were stuck behind one of the steel beams in the stands. Our view was blocked depending on the part of the field they were on
