Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs sign Raiders former 1st Round CB Damon Arnette [now cut]
Dante84 03:38 PM 01-20-2022
And now he gone.

The #Chiefs immediately released CB Damon Arnette after his arrest Friday night in Las Vegas for assault with a deadly weapon, per source.

...to a futures deal.

And of course we'll catch hell for a high-character signing.

The Chiefs have signed former Raiders first round CB Damon Arnette to a Reserve/Futures contract.

The cupboard is going to be pretty empty in the secondary during the off-season. Good job Veach!

Great signing. This guy has never been within 100ft of a vacuum.

Oof, I love winning but I'm not on board with this. Except I am. Whoever made the halfway house comment is spot on.

On FS1, I watched horse race from Oaklawn that gave out points for Kentucky Derby qualifying Smarty Jones Stakes, and one of the entries was named Ruggs.

I thought it would be a helluva thing if horse had been named for Henry Ruggs and if horse was promising and got some results and earns enough points to run in more races on the Derby trail.

Horse finished 8th out of 9 entries, so may not even be as fast as his namesake, if it is his namesake.

I'm sure this was discussed with everyone in the organization including Hunt. They obviously think they can help the guy get back on track and have a plan for him.

Considering we're on the doorstep of a 4th straight AFC Championship appearance and a 3rd straight Super Bowl, I'm not going to question our leadership at this point.

Hopefully Spags sends a welcome wagon of Sorenson and Neimann over to his crib late at night unannounced.

We have nothing to lose with this signing. It's low risk and I'm guessing that Veach & Co researched what happened and got the answers they wanted. And then maybe this guy learned something from fucking up and having his NFL career pulled out from under him.

Is Veach planning on re-signing Tyrann to babysit these boys….?

I get the “second chance” “solid leadership in the locker room”…And I want our guys to be bad ass MF’s on the field…but FFS.

Character still matters…especially in a team environment.

Besides the gun issue, dude still has two lawsuits open against him from a high speed hit and run that caused an injury, and an altercation with a casino valet.
