At the time, it seemed very pessimistic. With the recent growth in new cases and deaths, I wanted to revisit it to see where we are against it. I remembered that you kept an eye on it so I found your post.

They're just unfortunate facts. I think it's clear that we've cleared any Thanksgiving backlog by now.

CDC vaccine advisers vote to recommend Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine in the United States.

Hopefully the Moderna data looks just as solid and we get approval for it around this time next week.

This is not necessary for the limited number of vaccinations that will be available.

Where you getting that? There is only suppose to be 6.4 million vaccines ready currently for the US.

Between Pfizer and moderna we’ve secured that many doses - certainly not all available yet but this will no doubt be a massive distribution effort especially when you consider the special handling that the vaccines require.

First I stated available, which is what you quoted me and implied that I was wrong about. Second that many have not been secured. You need to check your info. There is a reason that the has been an outcry about us not securing more doses that got sold to Europe. There may not be 200 million people take the vaccine in the US.

Covid-19 vaccines are packaged at the Pfizer facility on Sunday

Looks like a highway construction gig...

Thrilled that the vaccine will start to be distributed next week.

Time to vaccinate people with little to no life expectancy remaining (anyone over age 72).
Got to vaccinate those health care heroes who have for months proven that PPE is effective.
And don't forget, we must get all those incarcerated vaccinated!

Then maybe we can get to the teachers....

Seeing trucks roll out with vaccines is some moon landing feels for me.

People will keep on warring over the immaterial, but I'm ready to rally.

At age 72 the average remaining life expectancy is 14 years. In 14 years of retirement I could write a novel, start a cult, sail around the world, design an improved grapefruit, and explore the entirety of Mammoth Cave in Kentucky.

Short of it being self peeling, how are you improving the grapefruit?
