It really is true that the foundation of this franchise was built on the shoulders of Alex Smith.
Not, his arm, clearly, but his leadership and attitude. It helped bring Pat along and it started a mentality of never quitting. Always possible. Nothing is impossible to overcome.
I was as frustrated year 3 or 4 with Alex getting only so far as anyone but he was the perfect old man to mentor the perfect young talent at QB.... [Reply]
