If it's possible to just be goosebumped to death, it's gonna happen.

I'm gonna pretty much have to search a 2 hour radius from here to find the most badass theatre for this I can find.

The nostalgia overload combined w/ raw spectacle may just kill me.

It must have had reshoots or something because they started filming in 2018.

It was originally supposed to be out summer of 2019.

Yeah, once the film was in the edit bay, they decided to go back and do some reshoots along with additional filming, which wrapped in early August 2019.

Delayed until Memorial Day 2022 now. :-)

Tom Cruise is going to be 75 by the time this comes out.

The Mission Impossible franchise is widely popular (I read recently that the MI franchise had made well over $3.5 Billion at the worldwide box office overall:-))

Tons of movie goers flock to see Tom Cruise's crazy ass do insane stunts in these films. I highly recommend viewing the sequels (especially Ghost Protocol that came out in 2011. My friends & I saw it in IMAX and we all thought it was entertaining as hell. The highlight was Tom Cruise literally running down a skyscraper in Dubai. He was of course strapped to a harness but it still was nerve racking to see in IMAX and made my heart race lol)

Yeah its gonna be LOADED with big tent pole movies all over the place. The biggest one is going to be Avatar 2 imo(its expected to be released in late December 2022) I will lose my shit if it gets pushed back AGAIN! :-) seriously though it feels like I've been waiting 84 years for the sequel to come out haha.

I can't wait to see what James Cameron has up his sleeves with the sequel(s). Apparently he's doing a lot of underwater scenes that are cutting edge which sounds intriguing as hell. (here's a pic of Kate Winslet being filmed on the set of Avatar 2 with her holding her breath underwater that went viral awhile back. Yes Kate Winslet is in the sequel )

Anyways sorry to get off topic but yeah 2022 is going to be crowded af with a lot of big films coming out.

This makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Theaters are struggling right now, and one of the main reasons besides the covid crap is that there's really no big draws out there. How many will fold within another nine months?

People want to see this in the theater, whether it's released tomorrow, next month or next year. But they might not go if the local theater shuts down and the nearest survivor is too far away.

Amen, brother. I don't even know if I'd watch any of them for free.

Simplistic, overused plot wrapped in a pretty package. Basically it was Star Trek the Motion Picture for millennials.

It was a cool film to look at, but totally forgettable. I am in no hurry to watch it again, let alone part 2.
