Any DL we could get at this point can't figure into our long term plans. If we can pick this guy up off the street, groovy. Trade for him, no way. Moving Jones back to the inside on a permanent basis right now might not be the best move since he doesn't have the bulk any more. Moving Jones around might make more sense.

Only players with less than 4 years must go through waivers. He's free to sign with any team he wants to if he's cut. Any guaranteed money on his contract is paid by the team that cuts him. That's why I said no to a trade, yes to a pick up off the street.
