Just in case you have some random thought and feel like starting a thread over it, you can just bump this one.

I do it far more frequently than for receiving bad service. I always go out of my way to ask for a supervisor to give praise, because I don't think it does get done enough. The way customer service has died over the last ten years, I want to do my part to bring it back.

Wow. Is that normal where you're at?

Not really. I live on the coast so a lot of the extreme heat like that is countered by cool air from the south or the ocean to the east. But today there was a bunch of hot air that came from inland and living on the coast didnt help this time. The article I linked above shows how serious the fire warnings were. Incredibly, tomorrow is forcasted to max at only 77 degrees. Although on Friday and Saturday itll be up around 91 and 99.

We had alot of fire warnings during our summer, too. Mainly due to a drought that was covering the most of the United States. it was probably the hottest summer I have a memory of, but I'm not that old.

What's your winter like?

yeah its pretty rare to have fire warnings near the east coast, but today the fire danger was rated as "catastrophic":

The winters get cold, but nowhere near "snow" cold. During the day in winter (atleast in Sydney) it doesn't get much colder than about 59 degrees, not including wind chill.

That is sweet. Football games with friends in the snow are my favorite part of winter, though. So no snow would have its downfall.

One more question Aussie...

If 2 women walked up to you and wanted to have a threesome, but also told you that they are made of cheese, what kind of cheese would they be made of?

Why are these called "threads?" I've never been able to find out
