I have been doing extended water fasts since Dec 4th and have dropped right around 70 pounds.

My fasts run anywhere from 5 days to a long of 14 days with no food.

The 3rd and 4th day are the toughest. You need to drink between 1 to 1 1/2 gallons of water during the day.

No exercise except walking, mild biking or swimming.

If you have a high BMI and visceral fat, this will work for you.

No diabetics, pregnant women or low body fat people should do this.

You also need to learn about "refeeding syndrome" for when you break the fast.

Yea but if you water fast doesn't your body burn off all your muscle tissue as well so yes you lose weight but you're flabby with no tone.

The consensus is yes, eventually. Mixed studies on how much and basically everyone recommends intermittent fasting over water fasting.

And if you exercise, you die.

And if you eat too much when you're done, you die.

And if you don't eat enough, you'll eventually die.

And you'll get to do it again after that wicked rebound.

Other than that, it's great!

No issues with lack of bulk causing intestinal issues? I know more than one former body builder that had to retire after their colons basically shutdown during their pre-comp cutting/fasting from lack of bulk to trigger the nerves in the colon.

Had a friend whose mom died because she used to be anorexic. Years later way after she had recovered but died in her 40s anyway.

It fucks you up long term
