LG soundbar w/separate woofer, samsung TV, Roku Ultra for some things. Running the soundbar through optical output from TV.

On HBO on Roku (too buggy to use app on TV, freeze ups, etc), when I start a movie or series, I get no dialogue track. All other sound is there. I have to start the show, pause the show, back out of the show, and then restart the show. Sound works fine at that point. Same deal with Hulu, (both roku app or tv-based app) although Hulu is worse. With Hulu, I have to either exit the app entirely and restart, or reboot the TV. Netflix has none of these problems, nor does Prime. I don’t seem to find any settings within the app to fiddle with sound settings, although I have messed with the settings on the TV. Only the Dolby PCS setting works at all with the soundbar, apparently.

If I disconnect the optical cable and just use the TV sound, I don’t have any issues except for shitty sound. So anyway, any ideas would be appreciated. Thnx
