Dad took me to old Municipal Stadium the first year the A's arrived in KC was bat day. I was 5 maybe 6 I and my brother got Kelly green bats. We went till they left then Ewing and the Royals arrived seemed a night and day difference. The sports complex was built and everything was up to date in KC. Then me and buddies would go to dollar dogs and 2 dollar beers I believe. Sit in LF GA and harass the opponent's bullpen. RF GA was always to crowded and rowdy long lines at concessions. Never really developed the disdain for the Royals GB seems to have. We are lucky to have baseball I remember when we didnt. [Reply]
Hoping the bats can wake up. Seems like everyone is at bat swinging for the five run home run on each pitch. Let's see if the Royals can get back to good baseball.

I was always a RF GA guy. $1.50 tickets, even on opening day but you had to get there early. Real early.
I remember when they raised the prices to $3.00 and thought that they were gouging us...lol. [Reply]
