He was an innovator who evolved the offense… similar to Andy.

The Chiefs have literally been competitive EVERY SINGLE WEEK under Reid and that includes under Alex Smith. Didn't matter who we played we had a chance down to the final minute. Over a decade straight under Reid of basically NEVER being blown out is impressive [Reply]

And those Chiefs teams during the early years with Andy as HC weren’t exactly overflowing with talent… especially on offense.
Andy managed to score 44 points in that Indy playoff game with an offense that included the likes of Alex Smiff, Donnie Avery, Anthony Fasano, etc.
Their best offensive player by far… Jamaal Charles… was lost to injury on the first offensive series of the game.
