I'm more impressed at what Swinney has done, Clemson wasn't a sleeping giant waiting to be reborn. Clemson was basically the same as a bunch of other mid to upper mid level college teams and he's made them a national power.

South Carolina has a lot of talent. Not to mention recruiting out of NC, northern Georgia, and Tennessee.

No. We still can’t compete with any of these teams.

Still Clemson usually lost out on those players to the Georgia's, Tennessee's, FSU, etc etc etc.

Clemson was not some perennial power or some team waiting to be reborn when he took that job. What he did would be like Missouri doing this.

Yeah. Aside from that one NC they were a top 15-20 program. He started winning recruiting battles against Spurrier and Richt (no small feat) and built a dominant program.

Absolutely. Clemson is a middle of nowhere, flyover type school. Dabo is a bad ass.

I would compare Clemson to Arkansas but Mizzou would be similar to.

Agreed. Notre Dame isn’t nearly as deep as these teams. They lose one CB and the defense goes to shit.

Mizzou from '07-'13, I guess.

Sometimes things work out and that Swinney hire is something no one could have expected all this from.

He turned Clemson into an NFL factory and an elite WR factory, it's crazy.

Urban Meyer was the only guy who could get a team in the north to compete.

It is right on 85. It is actually pretty close to Charlotte.

Big question at some point...will Bama be able to convince Dabo to leave Clemson?

Wow Wilkens who's a first round is crying his college career is coming to an end, that's something you don't see everyday.
