No. People don't care that he was black. Their basing a statement on what an irresponsible and selfish asshole he was in doing what he did, lucky only killing himself and not some innocent bystander. That highway was probably filled with mothers and fathers going to work, children buckled in car seats headed off to school or day care, blue collar folks like the dump truck driver. Regular people just going about living their lives as best they can and trying to do better.

I'm glad Haskins didn't hurt any of them while he was driving down the highway drunk off his ass and high as a kite at 6 am after partying all night, with a passenger in his car.

Doesn't matter if it was a millionaire NFL QB, some toothless redneck, or the Prince of Wales. It is terrible that he wasted his life, but everyone on that road is lucky there wasn't more damage done. Ask anybody who's been rendered a widow or an orphan or lost a child to a drunk
