Of course. I don't think LL would have stayed in KU if he didn't get the administration's commitment to improve the facilities there. He wouldn't have signed that extension, I'd suspect.
But you're not wrong on one thing, and that is gotta recruit and fill your coaching staff. I would not be one bit surprised if his OC gets a HC gig somewhere down the road. That guy can scheme. [Reply]

Does Cincy & BYU join the league next year? Big 12 was fun as hell to watch this year. I think OU will be better next year, who knows about Texas but they are crushing recruiting, Texas Tech is a sleeper IMO McGuire has done a hell of a job [Reply]

UCF, Cincinnati, BYU and Houston will be joining in 2023.
Matt Rhule is a reluctant recruiter and Nebraska needs a coach who dives head first into that portion of the job.
I'm not as sold on him as others. Saving grace could be if Nebraska has a solid NIL program and can leverage that in the portal and recruiting trail. [Reply]
At Baylor, Joey McGuire and the recruiting ops staff did the heavy lifting. Rhule didn't exactly darken a ton of HS football office doors during his tenure.
Rhule won't have a Joey McGuire, a guy who is a former Texas HS football coach who had tremendous relationships in the state, on his staff at Nebraska. [Reply]

And here's his S&C coach
Is that big and very scary looking man now a Husker coach? [Reply]
