The Oline is acutally playing well, Mahomes is prematurely rolling out
Mahomes is hanging Orlando Brown out to try and creating angles impossible for him to block
Mahomes is predetermining his reads. Possibly overthinking things too much
My takeway: If last week's performance was all about Mahomes then the Chiefs are about to go on a winning streak, because Mahomes will get his mind right. Ya'll ready for some W's?
Man, I never thought I'd say this, but Mahomes is one of the biggest non defensive reasons we are losing. That first play is ridiculous and makes Brown look like he was shit, but if he just steps up, then he probably has a TD and Brown doesn't give up a pressure on a well blocked play.
The shitty interior OL play last year really got into his head. He's making these mistakes week after week and that's pretty scary. He's the type that doesn't make the same mistake over and over, but he's not staying in the pocket ever.
He was such a good pocket QB too and navigated it sooo well. He's gotta get back into that, but the phantom pressure thing is so worrisome, because it may be the hardest thing to break. [Reply]

Knowing a problem and fixing a problem are two different things.

Mahomes is still the most feared qb on the planet. Somethings off, he will figure it out. When he does, we will win the division and have a home playoff game.
From there, anything is possible.
Best thing about this string of poor play has been the fact that we've only played one division game and should have won it.
If you told anyone before the game that it would be tied 24 all, 2:14 left in the game an Mahomes gets the ball 1st and 10, you chalk that shit up as a W 999/1000 times. The chargers escaped. Period.

Um…no. He talks about some of the pocket issues and then there are plays dissected where it’s clearly Mahomes fault, and there others that have been posted around as well different than these plays.
He also points out how it’s shocking for him and hates to see it because it was Mahomes being amazing and justifying Simms pre draft gushing over him that helped him get the NBC job. Seems like he believes that to an extent which is kind of funny to think about. [Reply]
