I was very "whelmed" with the finale. Didn't hate it, but it didn't blow me away. Not sure what I was expecting, but it just didn't feel like it lived up to what I was expecting, if that makes sense?
I'll say Anthony Starr did a pretty great job playing Homelander this season. And goodness Maeve and Kimiko are just hot af. [Reply]

Antony Starr is amazing. I need to go back and watch Banshee. He's apparently awesome in that.
Spoiler!
Prediction: In the next season, a new Black Noir will appear on the scene, introduced by Victoria Neumann, and it will freak Homelander the F out while also being a nod to the comics.
Yeah kind of a weird episode to end on. Felt like they were too neat with how the soldier boy shit "ended" and nothing was really advanced. Just seemed like an episode to reinforce what will be at stake season 4.
Spoiler!
If they were going to keep soldier boy and Maeve alive they should have done it better. That whole sequence was horrible IMO. No way they should be alive, especially Maeve. If they're going to make it that soldier boys chest thing just depowers supers instead of killing them, then why have Butcher stop him from blasting Homelander and Ryan? That's killing two birds with one stone for Butcher.

The "dinner" scene in season 3 was worse for me. [Reply]

Not as bad as when he was having the 3-some with the octopus and his wife. WTF. [Reply]
