Glad you’re ok. Eat oat meal (the original, not the instant cardboard shit) for breakfast. Put a teaspoon of peanut butter in it. That shit is good for you and an appetite suppressant. Drink lots of water and just start walking every day.
My cardiologist (family history but I have no issues) had me on statins as a preventative, I don’t have high cholesterol. And I stopped taking them because they werefucking me up. When I saw him he was annoyed, but said let’s take your blood again in 6 months and let’s see. My cholesterol was 157 and my BP was 120 over 82. I walked 5 miles almost every day for 6 months and lowered my cholesterol to 140 and my BP to 110 over 67 without any medication. Saw my cardiologist and he was like “ok, you win, no more statins” lol [Reply]

Prayers sent. Very nice of you to think of others and offer hard learned advice even in the face of great personal adversity. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery. [Reply]
So glad you ok now keg, stroke can be some serious shit and many don't ever fully recover.
As many on here know, I have had some serious heart issues. In 2007 there is a thread on here when I had my five heart incidents and 4 stents, then again three more in 2015.
Two extended trips through cardio rehab has taught me there are five main ingredients to heart health/disease. You can control four of them.
Sad to hear you had a stroke, but glad to hear you are feeling better.
Tomorrow is promised to no one, so yeah, hug your family if and when you can. [Reply]
Glad you're okay, Keg. I had what they want to call a TIA back in the summer. I've decided I just slept with my arm in bad position but I have slightly high cholesterol so they put me on meds. I don't like taking meds. I told a doctor once that I thought drugs should be for recreational use only. If you need them something is wrong. [Reply]
