Everyone bought into Veach saying they'll be ready for training camp bullshit!

staylor is so dumb. He'd buy anything.

The Chiefs releases of Eric Fisher and Geoff Schwartz are not all that surprising. Schwartz's future has been unsure since injuring his back, while Fisher's Achilles tear puts 2021 in serious jeopardy.

KC loves Lucas Niang, which it had a second-round grade on last year.

There's zero chance they're going to do this all through the draft. Less than zero.

Never take SB wins and appearances for granted.

They could very well have Niang in mind for RT unless they can pick up 2 quality starters and then kick him in at guard.

I bet we don't get that much younger, especially if Williams is in play.

Agreed. That would be incredibly stupid, and Veach isn't.

Well, I have to wonder how bad that Berry fiasco bothered Veach a couple years ago.

Veach is ruthless. Play and perform or get the fuck out of here. He pays you for what you’re going to do, not what you did in the past.

I'd be willing to bet it's exactly that - two free agents and two draftees.

Right, he’d just be your leader in the room for all the youth that is about to be injected.

Brings a whole different playing style to the equation. He’s nasty.

They actually might get older this season on the OL.

Agreed. I found it bizarre when Veach said Fisher might be back by training camp last week. The guy tore his fucking Achilles, he'd be lucky if he plays at all in 2021. And I'm guessing they realized they shouldn't rely on Schwartz whatsoever after what happened to him in 2020.

It's a tough decision because of how good those two were, but it's really the only decision to be made here. Can't be paying them that much to do nothing when you've got Patrick Mahomes and this core in place.

I didn't think they would do it but they did and I applaud them for it.

I love Veach, the guy just gets after it.

Can we just say now, that Veach will always address a problem area, and will do so ruthlessly?
