The #Ravens are trading LT Orlando Brown to the #Chiefs, per me and @MikeGarafolo. A new blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes.

We got ourselves our left tackle. Pay the man.

Alternatively you could say that in weeks 5-12 he allowed an identical pressure rate (2.71/gm) as he did in weeks 1-4.

I mean - he’s mostly been the same player all year and that’s fine. He’s been solid. That’s not easy to get from that position and we got it at a fairly low cost both in terms of draft compensation and cap.

Nah. Not yet. Just tag him. He's the best use of it anyway.

To me, he's LOOKED better the last 3 or 4 weeks. I don't know the exact numbers but it seems to me he's progressing.

I agree with this. I can't remember the last time I seen him get his doors blown off. That was happened on the regular there for awhile.

Parsons did damage from both sides of the line.

Brown struggled with him at times, but he's also a freak show athlete. Most tackles would struggle with him.

Learning Mahomes’ tendencies (and vice versa) is probably making him feel and look more comfortable.

Brown took 2 steps, re-anchors and face planted a stand-up rusher with a head of steam. That rusher gets nowhere close to Mahomes had Mahomes not bounced to his left (and even with the bounce, the rusher was no threat)

If that’s not a win, don’t bother tracking.
The rusher FELL!!!!!

I mean, that clip that was posted wasn't even a great rep. He got pushed back a lot. Just look at where he is in relation to the other linemen. It's not a "bad" rep, but I wouldn't say he won.
You have absolutely no clue what you are looking at then. Your opinions of OL players are null and void

He’s adjusting to the left a lot better than I thought he would. I’m interested to see how he does down the stretch against Bosa and Watt in the coming weeks. Those matchups will show his true improvement…but I’m not expecting any resemblance of dominance in either matchup…just competence. He’s also benefitting from far better communication between himself and Thuney so if he adjusts to compensate for protection of the edge, Thuney is watching to help with inside moves. That helps a TON.

Here’s my concern.

Baltimore lost Staley for the year again and Zeus is a lifetime Baltimore guy. He came here to have a chance to show he can play left tackle, but Baltimore may want to compete for his services and end up winning if we can’t afford to franchise him (which we probably won’t be able to, without losing other pieces that we don’t want to lose). I’m concerned we lose out on the long term extension in the same way we lost out on signing Silverback.

That’ll happen when a 360 pound man gets his mitts on you while you’re trying to change directions.

Chiefs have been prepared to tag him for the upcoming season since the trade was completed. Not sure what you're talking about there.
