I don't think that Cam is an idiot. He just dresses like one.

KC should sign him as a QB sneak/draw specialist on short yardage plays.

Mccaffery out for rest of the year. and this is why you don’t pay RBs big money.

RBs need a different pay scale since their careers are so short and they are most productive in their first 3-4 seasons.

He was pretty damn good overall those first 7 years or so. He took too much punishment and his body fell off a Cliff. It’s too bad because he’s was as gifted physically as anyone who has ever played QB.

Sorta.

I mean, he was huge and athletic with a strong arm. So that pretty much made him early stage Josh Allen.

But where Allen developed his short/intermediate accuracy, Cam never did. Allen's good for about a 66% completion% these days and was at about 60% before his breakout.

Newton completed 60% of his passes on his career, that's including his MVP season.

The ability to repeat your mechanics in a way that allows you to put the ball where you want to is a physical skill and Newton just never had that. He's always been erratic as hell.

For massive chunks of his career, even when he was healthy, he was little more than a flashier Mitch Trubisky. It's awfully hard to win consistently with a guy like that.

Scam Newton

Taking the pay that is the Auburn way.
