This is like the 10th Predator film. It's long been established how much of a threat Preds are. Literally every human who tries to fight them gets their shit pushed in. It makes no difference if the protagonist is a man or a woman, any human is like a toddler in the Preds' eyes. The only way we beat them is by being crafty.

Come on! You guys realize the main human antagonist in the latest Predator movie was a black guy, right? :-)

The original Predator is really the only good Predator film, for obvious reasons.

All the others kinda suck.

AvP is some fun action schlock though, because at least you can buy Aliens being a match for Predators.

This chick was adopted into the Predator culture and legitimately fought Predators 1v1. It was totally ridiculous but still cool. And those were released in the 90's!

I think Clay's point is that all of the sequels suck because they got away from the original's premise of having the baddest of BMFers facing off (and getting slughtered) by the Predator. By being politically correct and creating (yet another) badass patriarchy smashing warrior chick you just make things even sillier.

With comic book movies you can say "Sure, she looks like a 105 pound Victoria's Secret model, but she has super powers" so the action scenes work. In a comparatively more realistic setting like the Predator universe this doesn't work as well.

It's a shitty point, though, because Predators did exactly that. They literally hand-picked the baddest MFers on the planet and airdropped them into a jungle game reserve where they all got slaughtered.. and it still sucked.
