So is omichron the dominant strain now? Or is there still a Delta?

Yes, and has been since late December. Now estimated at 99.9%

Wife had to get tested yesterday as she is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. She tested positive but is 100% asymptomatic. Might be another month to get her rescheduled even though she has a stent in that should have already been out weeks ago because of scheduling issues.

F'ing ridiculous.

So far, just aches and some digestive issues. Hopefully it'll stay that way. My worry is more for my dad who is asthmatic and had a major heart attack 10 years ago, but they're both vaxxed and boosted, so hopefully it'll stay mild.
My MIL who is in her 70's got covid a few weeks back via my infant son who got it from me. She stayed in the house with her husband and her MIL. She is now testing negative and my FIL and his mom never tested positive. So it can be done if they take precautions. All are vaxxed and boosted.

Your mom should be wearing an N95 in the house and not driving in the same car with your dad.

Yeah, they're sleeping separately, hanging out in opposite ends of the house, and wearing masks basically full time. So far so good - my dad still feels fine at least.

My mom feels pretty tired still but otherwise hasn't gotten any worse, so I'm optimistic that all will be fine in a week or so. Fingers crossed.

My direct supervisor and I have been sharing an office as I'm learning my new position I was promoted to. She has covid and I'm mildly symptomatic. Rapid test says negative. Waiting on PCR results now.

I don't feel terrible. Kind of like a cold with some added fatigue and mild aches.

I don't see how it's not covid, but ?????

True, but influenza has been in decline since the start of the new year:
