A man after my own heart, I love cooking burgers like that, the wife not so much. I'll have every window open including the front door with fans going and it still gets smokey as hell. The house will smell for a good week, but oh so good!

Any other way to replicate that without a steel fucking griddle?

Aldi, 99 cents a can I think? I went for the under on cooking time at 11 min and came out perfect. The wife added extra butter, I was good as is.

Thin azz patty and hot as you can get cast iron does the trick. Not exactly for the faint of heart, if you care what your house smells like.

I always just do my cast iron on the outside grill. The current wife HATES the smell in the house.
