Talked to a few people who attended Odell Beckham's workout. One noted how noticeably muscular Beckham looks now, likening him to a combination of Saquon Barkley and Deebo Samuel. Another said Beckham is simply a gifted athlete and that hasn't changed. Explosion was there.

Contracts can be modified. Veach is a wizard at that. If we had Jerry Jones, Gettleman or some other known dipstick as GM, we could rightly worry. Not worried with Veach at the helm.

If Skyy is still dildos and Toney is still constantly getting hurt, then go trade for one midseason. Or during training camp. Or whatever.
In a vacuum that is fine....but our WR position has quickly turned into being below average and it's a bland WR year in the draft.

People appear to be willing to hand wave the **** out of that reality. "Eh, we'll make it work."

Yep.

This WR group needs addressed with a multi-faceted approach, just like last year.

It's simple all teams have holes because no one is perfect, our WR position does because of things like drafting CEH.

About as much as the people waving off the reality that the WR room is almost paper thin if either Toney goes down with an injury/Skyy doesn't immediately fill JuJu's role. "Just draft and develop an instantly productive WR" even though we have no history of that.

I think - you could make an argument that we haven't *historically* drafted and developed stud CB's either....but we did it.

It's more that the Chiefs haven't put much into the position, it's all late round draft picks other than Moore and Hardman.

And Watson had the advantage of better offensive weapons his entire career, including having DHop and Cooks for a couple years.

Hmm. I thought we did okay at CB. I mean, it's hard to draft top-notch guys when you draft in the last quarter of the round every year for ten years straight, but overall I wouldn't say KC has done poorly at CB in Andy's tenure.

And i understand we haven't really drafted with a focus on WR, ever. it's been kind of an afterthought most years, imo.

But it's also not a new thing for Andy either. He didn't draft and develop many quality WRs in PHI. A couple decent ones. And it's not like this is a great class for WRs in 2023. It's not terrible by any means, but it's not great, either.

All I was saying is our draft track record for CB's was comparable to our track record of drafting WR's. Veach knows what he is doing and has a knack for sniffing out talent - just for S&G
