For all things Royals in 2022. #3 minor league system according to Baseball America. The Bobby Witt era should begin this year. Will Salvy still be the homerun king? How does the glut of infield players work out? Will the young pitchers take the next step?

Another great series. This is about as fun as this team has been in 5 or 6 years. The young guys are going to get the ultimate test this weekend. Dodgers are on pace for 110+ wins and are on fire.

They’ve won 10 in a row.

The Yankees would be 6 1/2 games behind them.

Wonder what the money line is on that?

Lordy, that pitch is about as bad as you can throw one. Just a comedy of badness. Looping curve to begin with, then it hangs, then it backs over the middle right at the belt. I mean it was bad it might have even been a slider; but it had so little shape its hard to tell. You just don't usually see sliders with a hump on them (nor do you see curveballs back up that often). Like I said - just an all-timer as far as bad pitches go.

Chris Getz could've sent that pitch out.

Nice win today to get 5 runs with 1 HR and the 7 other hits are singles.

White Sox had 2 HRs and 12 singles and only put 3 on the board. 11 LOB.

So the game had 22 hits, 3 HRs, no triples, no doubles, 19 singles.

Alright, let's talk playoffs.

I will keep you posted with daily updates until we are eliminated. Right now, it looks like 89 wins will be the magic number to overcome Toronto or Seattle. So, the Royals need to win 42 of their next 49 games, which would be a 0.857 win rate. Given recent success, over a two game sample extrapolated to the rest of the season, the Royals seem to have a wildcard birth in the bag. I look forward to updating you next after tomorrow night's game against the dodgers.

Nah, the vets are gone and the kids are playing. Winning matters now. The culture must take root. 2022-2026 is the new 2013-2015.
