Matty Lane on KC Lab thinks this could all be a typical Combine lying season head fake, and they wind up losing Jones and keeping Sneed all along.

He made some good points imo that it's weird that the Chiefs were so public being close with Jones and tagging Sneed and giving him permission to seek a trade, when none of that stuff needed to be made public.

They’ll know soon enough if they can keep jones. If they find out they can’t it looks like they rolled it it the red carpet for jones and he pulled out.The Sneed tested the market and was rewarded handsomely by the team that wanted him all along.
