Sneed probably has 4 more high end years in him he'll then be a good player for 2-3 after that.

If you want to trade him you're drafting a CB really high because having 2 CB's they trust out there is a big reason the defense works.

I just don't see a team wanting to give up draft capital and handout a big contract after a trade.

There are a few teams that might do it, high end CB's are extremely valuable.

Spags trusts the CBs he has. And why would we have to take a CB high when they've proven they can find them anywhere?

A team like the Lions would...and absolutely should trade for a player like Sneed. They need defensive help, have the cap space and are a playoff team.

With the extra cap space this year, a team might be more willing to do the trade a pick AND pay for a guy.

Thing is, man there's just rookies coming out and playing well every year.

I don't think the Lions are really in "all in" mode to do it.

Because that person might be Trent McDuffie.

You don't think he trusts Josh Williams? Here's what he did against the Bengals k in the playoffs when Sneed got concussed on the 2nd play of the game:

Chiefs rookie Joshua Williams in the AFC Championship Game:

We've started Jaylen Watson for a stretch of games. We've started Josh Williams in big games.

They're not dominant but they're solid trustworthy corners.

I think they trust Williams, Watson I dunno though and if you do that both of them are on the field in Nickel downs which is going to weaken the coverage.

I think they very smartly and strategically mix Williams and Watson based on matchups and coverages, if you lose that one or both could get exposed to a degree.

Chiefs GM Brett Veach gives an update on Chris Jones and the negotiations.

Says it’s his belief both want Jones in KC, adds “he’s at the top of the list” pic.twitter.com/0AVHN31zjR

Seems they may have had this figured out for a while?

#Chiefs GM Brett Veach spoke a bit about how his staff has scenario sheets they draw up for free agency. If they're unable to re-sign one of Chris Jones, L'Jarius Sneed, or both, they've got contingencies in place that they start to go through. That includes trades & the draft.

PFF has Williams graded just as high as Sneed on the year. Of course Sneed has more snaps.
