Extending Jones instantly gives us the cap space to sign Hopkins. Dollars aren’t the issue if they want to do it and he’s open to a one-year deal. Doubt he’d leave $$ on the table but if he really wants a ring Juju showed him the path.
I would not be in favor of a longer/more expensive deal though. We need to do everything we can to keep Creed, Bolton, and Sneed (besides Jones) down the road. [Reply]

no, instead you bet on james, watson and two ross’ who haven’t done jack shit in the NFL. [Reply]

The @Chiefs have the highest maximum restructure potential in the league at a possible $83M. If they want D-Hop they can create more space than anybody....
DHop is going to go to some shit hole team and sign a contract like 2/$40-$50 mil or something absurd like that. I don't think KC is even in the running and there WR room is completely filled out and they're ready to roll with what we got. Hell KC didn't even want to pay JJSS $8 mil/yr and he would easily upgrade the position. No way they're gonna give $15+ million for DHop. [Reply]
Fucking Cardinals are such a terrible terrible franchise. Botched the whole situation and didn't get jack shit for Hopkins and then they release him before June 1st, so they eat the whole $22.6 mil dead cap hit this year. So dumb. [Reply]

Stupid not to take any picks they can get and run. I suspect they ate the $22.6m because they want to get rid of his cap faster. Post June 1 I believe the cap doesn't go away, it just means $11m this year and $11m next year.
They obviously regret giving kyler big money. They're treating the next few years like a rebuild so the team is ready to go by the time they can cut kyler off. Good time to do it with a new gm and coach. But who even knows with that diaster of a franchise. [Reply]
