Yeah I think it’s become apparent that this is a shitty team that had a weird outlier of a first month.

Have they really scored that many?

Please just don't match the 19 game losing streak from 2005. There still hasn't been a worse losing streak in MLB since.

I seem to recall telling you guys this but was littered with boos for not being a sunshine pumper.

Are they as good as the start? No.

Are they 10-game losing streak bad? No.

Had they made that start with Mondesi in the lineup and performing at a high level, it would have been more believable. As mercurial as he is, a Mondesi that's producing at the plate makes this lineup a lot better and also solidifies the defense immensely.

This long skid has been characterized by bad luck, bad managerial decisions, players pressing/trying too hard, and poor execution by the players. The defense, particularly, has been victimized by stiff/tight play and uncharacteristic errors (which, I'm not going to lie, worries me. That was a staple of Matheny's time in St. Louis. It tips towards not doing a good job keeping his team loose - one area where a manager CAN make a difference and an area Ned Yost was elite at during KC's championship years).

I think this is a .500-ish team when it's all said and done that builds towards next year and takes steps. The Cleveland series looks to have "broken" some confidence that they haven't yet found again.

Modesi begins his rehab assignment today with Northeast Arkansas.

We must pray that it goes well and we can get him back to KC as quickly as possible.

Whatever else he may be..........injury prone, etc. It is beyond doubt that this team is much better with Mondesi in the lineup!!

Someone should make a video montage of "the streak" like they did in Moneyball but for the Royals. This is a historical achievement. It is beyond what we can understand.

Bubic's last 2 games cleaning up Lynch's messes:

10.2 IP, 4 H, 0 R.

I was pretty surprised that he wasn't on the opening day roster. He showed some promise in his rookie year, and he's looking even better this year. Absolutely no excuse for him not to be in the rotation at this point.

You went on a limb for sure.

It was so bold of you to predict we’d miss the playoffs after we hit 20% chance on April 30. :-)
