I know it’s from bleacher report but the quote about Mahomes and Hunt being good friends is interesting. Is our rb depth deep enough to hold off Hunt for an 8 million dollar paycheck? [Reply]
Maybe if he hadn't lied to Reid and Hunts face, he could have came back but he did lie. Made them look foolish for believing him. That bridge was burnt at that moment. Just let it go for crissakes. [Reply]

Exactly, can't see why this keeps coming up. [Reply]
The Athletic is kinda where the "never play here again" stuff started. It was a story by Nate Taylor and he sites a source within the Chiefs talking about the meeting with Hunt. Here's the part I'm referring to.
In the same story from The Athletic, a source is cited who says Hunt’s release “really felt like a funeral.” The Chiefs vowed to help the young running back to receive another opportunity down the line, just not with them.
I mean, never say never and some time has passed, but Hunt isn't the same guy we cut on the field, and off the field, well, people don't really change who they are.
Even if he did gain 10 or so IQ points from this lesson, he's still going to be a hot tempered dumbass prone to blowing up his career and screwing the Chiefs again.
It's just too much distraction to even have him back here. Hes never going to get out from under what he did, and imagine the egg on the face of the Chiefs if Hunt screwed up again. Fool me once, shame on you. There's no way they can put themselves in the position that hinges on having ultimate trust in this dude not to **** up.
He blew it. He ****ed us out of a sure championship getting himself fired. I never wanted him back because of it. He ROYALLY ****ed us and people still pound the table for this clown to be signed. [Reply]
