UPDATE 3: Courtesy of King - High Ankle Sprain Confirmed
MRI today confirmed that Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain during Saturday’s win over the Jaguars, per league source. “Nothing more than that,” said one source, and Mahomes has said he plans to play in next Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
This is bad news. Its a high ankle sprain. Mahomes was ONLY dealing because he was using his quickness and athleticism avoiding the pass rush manipulating angles and even had a jump pass. Jags have been blowing us up so far when Mahomes was in. Hes going to be a sitting duck now if he does play. Have to do alot of short passes and run more often. [Reply]

Honestly that's probably how this offense should operate all the time. Your LT & RT are not good at dealing with a strong pass rush. Get the ball out quickly with short passes, or simply run the ball. [Reply]

Plain images are great for bony abnormalities. They aren’t going to show any soft tissue injury other than the usual swelling. (Ligamentous or cartilaginous) [Reply]
