developing.

The #Ravens are trading LT Orlando Brown to the #Chiefs, per me and @MikeGarafolo. A new blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes.

When Butker goes 100% on XPs the critiques have to go somewhere

Brown didn't play as well as I thought he would but a couple few things to consider...

1. Myles Garrett is probably the best DE in the league. A tough task for any tackle. Brown isn't Willie Roaf, and Garrett is going to get his because he's that good. Similar to Kelce. He's so good, doesn't matter if he's doubled, he's going to get his. It's just that way with some of the elite players in this league.

2. It's only wk1. Chiefs essentially have a new OL across the board. Gonna take some tinkering and getting used to, they will have their problems at times.

3. Mahomes needs to step up into the pocket better. He has tendencies to drift from the pocket. Mahomes is not God, and deserves criticism when warranted.

It's almost like people like to discuss players and plays after a game. I know it's crazy. Especially on a chiefs forum.

I actually thought he played....fine? I mean he wasn't great, wasn't bad.

Solid maybe the correct term?

That’s how I felt.

It was a very Eric Fisher like performance when going up against a top edge rusher.

People are treating it more like a Cam Erving performance (as SNR I believe has already said).

Given the situation I would like to see us run the ball a little more as well. We always hear how run blocking is easier than pass blocking so let this new OL gel a bit by knocking the piss out of the guys in front of them a bit more.

We were trying. CEH was missing the holes.

People just need to understand that we always knew Brown and Fisher were pretty much a wash in terms of pass blocking. Brown is a better in defender, but it isn’t supposed to be a huge upgrade.

It’s probably best that way too, as SNR has said before, it might be a blessing in disguise if we can get him signed for a little cheaper than we expected.

The (GMC)Garrett-Mahomes-Clowney sandwich can’t happen.

It was painful for me at home.

2 of the best defensive players in the league get a joint sack against a brand new OL with 3 rookies?

Meh, the fact it only happened once is impressive to me.

I mean we could have kept banging CEH into the backs of the OL for 3 yards I guess.

Once, twice, whatever is too many times with the 1/2 billion dollar man.

He’s no Kareem Hunt that’s for damn sure.

Kareem was a good player here. I think the nostalgia is a bit higher than reality. He wasn't always grinding out 5 ypc.

Remember when Fisher stepped and was immediately a pro-bowler from day one? Me either.

It's going to take time for the new line to gel and figure it out. Our D-line didn't really come together until halfway through last season.

People expecting perfection on the first game of the season are living on a different planet.
