Booger got shit for it, but he’s probably right that Wilson just isn’t used to facing adversity. He can do what he wants and everything turns out just fine. Was basically handed a starting nfl job on pure arm talent. The humble pie is probably a good thing. He doesn’t sound cocky or arrogant. Just lacks the self awareness about his role in the locker room.
So he can either pout or he can fight like hell to win his starting job back. Spend extra time in the film room, work on the fundamentals that should have been addressed a really long time ago. And he’s gotta work double time to build chemistry with his teammates to earn back their trust. [Reply]

And not sure the point about darnold. There hasn’t been much to suggest the guy is any good.
Coach's job to get players under control and so far Saleh lets Garret Wilson act like a total punk. [Reply]

I hope he gets traded to an actual OC and gets to run a real NFL offense. [Reply]
This could save Wilson’s career if he’s receptive to this humble pie.
I'm not sure guys like him (entitled egomaniac) are able to change in a short enough period of time. Baker Mayfield is a good example. Maybe guys like this can become a lot more mature when they are older in their 30's or 40's and have dealt with enough "humble pie" to knock them down to reality. But you only have a short period of time to really establish yourself as a legit player in the NFL. [Reply]
It's not just that he's entitled and arrogant. He's just not a natural born leader. And let's get it straight, you're either a leader or you're not. Yes, it needs to be developed and refined but if you don't have it to begin with, there's nothing to develop.
The reason you see a guy like Mahomes prosper the way he does is because he has "it" and you're either born with it or you aren't. [Reply]

Leadership is nice but several HOF QBs sucked as leaders.
Neither Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre was anything but a total douche in the lockerroom.

This was the year when mahomes broke the league and scouts tried to copycat the chiefs by finding QBs who can throw from all kinds of platforms. They’re quickly finding out that there‘a way more to mahomes success than crazy talent. [Reply]

You need to fix him too. But it’s also Elijah Moore. It’s Mims. Even his OL are throwing their hands up when he bails from the pocket. WRs don’t have to be leaders. Many of them are successful while being arrogant as hell. It is the QBs job to lead and if he’s blatantly not doing that, you can’t be surprised when the rest of the team doesn’t fall in line [Reply]
