For months, Zuern, a member of the pro-Trump group the United Cape Patriots, had promoted conspiracy theories about the pandemic on Facebook. She has shared articles accusing the World Health Organization of a coverup of the "Wuhan Virus" and claiming COVID-19 is cover for "globalists" to usher in "U.N. Agenda 2030" — a sustainable development initiative right-wing conspiracy theorists assert is a plot to create a one world government.
Zuern also expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory, posting their creed of "WWG1WGA" (Where We Go One, We Go All).
Zuern promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment of COVID-19 during a Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates meeting in December and questioned whether officials "had looked into preventative measures that people could use besides a vaccine to help build up their immune system," the Cape Cod Times reported.
Peter Meier, chair of the Board of Selectmen, said Zuern cared deeply about others. "She definitely left her mark on the community," he added.
According to the report, Zuern and her mother contracted COVID-19 while returning home from a trip to South Dakota — a state where Republican-motivated policies have let the virus propagate with little control.

I can’t help the fact that she’s a Trump supporter, and I can’t help the fact that it was prominently reported in the article. After all, it is an article about her. It’s also not terribly surprising that she’s a Trump supporter. Trump supporters are far more likely to think COVID is a hoax than normal people are.

As a middle of the road person who decided to get vaccinated, I hate seeing these true believers who didn't get vaccinated die. They aren't bad people. They aren't morons. This disease sucks, and the geopolitical climate created so much distrust. Having news articles practically celebrate their demise is hard to watch.
Only for the elderly with pre-existing health conditions or those younger with serious pre-existing health conditions.
Otherwise you have a 99.67 recovery rate IF you get Covid. Now why would you get a vaccine for that kind of survivability rate ?? And why would the Govt push this on kids who are the least vulnerable group?

Donger, I am not sure if you are familiar with something called grey goo. Grey Goo is hypothetical substance composed of nano sized self replicating machines which destroys all life on earth as we know it by consuming everything to make copies of itself. You might have seen or read a sci-fi story about the stuff.
Anyways what people don't realize about grey goo is the more capabilities you give it, the bigger and more complicated it has to be. If grey goo is going to be heat resistant to 150 degrees, it needs insulation; its mass and complexity are increased. If grey goo is going to be resistant to EMPs, it needs to be shielded...its mass and complexity is increased. If grey goo is going to be water resistant, it needs to be sealed....its mass and complexity is increased. I could go on and on and on.
You already have goo on earth...its called bacteria. The reason bacteria can't do everything is because doing everything is a failed strategy for bacteria. At least it is so far after billions and billions of years of evolution.
Your immune system is like grey goo. Every time you give it a new capability, it comes at a cost of mass and complexity. If you are going to give your immune system a new capability....choose wisely because piling on immunity after immunity is likely to have a really bad down side.
When a Covid variant that causes massive amounts of people to start dropping dead comes around, I'll get the vaccine for that...just like I got the small pox vaccine in my youth. This particular strain of Covid isn't that deadly. It isn't worth the of the cost of the additional complexity to my immune system that goes along with getting it.
