Nzoner's Game Room>Orlando Brown Projected Contract 6 year $145 mil
dlphg9 08:17 PM 03-28-2022
So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.

That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL

How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?

I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave.

Next time his agent ask for that top of the market resetting money Veach should give him the tape to this game and tell him to shut the fuck up

Exactly. Dude got owned much of the night. He's ok against ok DE's, but not against the really good ones. He needs to be a LOT better against the best if he wants to get paid like the best.

not gonna lie, he turned down what? 6 years $143 mill

didn't really see anything what would resemble a Willie Roaf, Trent Williams or an Orlando Pace. Mahomes got hit a lot.

I wouldn't say he did terrible, but it wasn't OMG give that man the most money for a lineman ever either.

Like we thought. He's not that good. Couldn't hold Bosa for a minute. The top paid LT in the game would have done a lot better. Move on in 23. He isn't good enough.

Veach shockingly confirmed to have made yet another right decision. OB can be the LT at the right price but it has to account for the heavy lifting PM does for him on nights like last night. Otherwise no thanks.

Guy is deluded I'd move him on next year for sure, take my chances in free agency or the draft

hard not to think how insane this line would be if they had landed Trent Williams

We need to be better at both OT spots.

Tough test for the second game of the year and it wasn't good. I haven't been the biggest fan of OB Jr but Andy o lines are notoriously slow starters. Hope for the best and keep a wary eye out for help. Scout the hell out of college tackles Veachy.

I don’t think obj is a disaster. Just because he may not be worth what he thinks doesn’t mean he’s bad for us. I think he had a tough night against an elite defender. I also recognize that when it’s free agency time if you’re going to pay top LT money, we can do better.

Yes, but that would've changed the course of what they had done otherwise with the line. So not sure that alternate reality is too realistic where you just plug the guy in and assume we got Thuney, drafted Creed, etc.

But it sure is fun to dream.

Probably wouldn't have Thuney but we would have still had shots at drafting Creed and Trey.

Veach would have made it work

Average tackle at best. Definitely don’t lock him up long term. I want the money to lockup Humphrey and trey smith.

I'll never understand the fascination with Williams. He's never manage to make it through the postseason without some sort of pretty serious injury.
